If all extraneous/outdated laws were stricken from books of all america how much landfill space saved ea year?

To all young mathematicians and all political/environmental advocates...laws exist in every town/city/county/state/federal level that are wastes of human endeavor (illegal to carry an ice cream cone in ones shirt pocket, for only one example). Each time "another" law book is written, these must use ink and paper space, as well as using landfill space when the book is trashed (as America is truely a "Throw-away' society). Beyond the fact that these laws are insults to our intellect, how wasteful, mathematically, are they?
