I have a question about being a Navy Pilot via the STA-21 program?

OK. Now would I have a better chance being picked up for this program if I were on a carrier rather than a destroyer, etc? I am 22, currently in dep, and in the advanced computer electronis field. I was wondering what my chances would be, and what would be the best route for me to take in acheveing my goal. ROTC is not an option, because I have a family to support and the little income they give isn't enough.
